Lesley Beth in her favorite location - composing! Behind, her giant painting of the Bora Bora Lagoon where she snorkeled with Manta Rays, the inspiration for her 'Gentle Rays' song set to spectacular underwater footage by world-renowned cinematographer, Tom Campbell.

Lesley Beth is a highly respected Australian children's composer. The ability not only to entertain but to educate is writer/composer Lesley Beth's main priority.

Lesley is a recipient of Honorable Mentions by American Songwriter Magazine, LyricAwards.com and a Semi-Finalist in the International Songwriting Competition.

Launched as 'Oceans of Wonder', Lesley’s 'Underwater Songs' Environmental DVD is a uniquely fascinating concept in family entertainment.  it received the Kids First© second highest award for an innovative approach to edutainment environmentalism.

Lesley draws her inspiration from the beautiful surroundings of her home on the waterfront on Sydney Harbor and snorkeling in some of Australia’s most pristine waters as well as the tropical seas off Borneo, Cook Islands, Fiji and Tahiti.

Lesley Beth mixes musical styles constantly surprising and engaging the listener is as each tune rolls by.  Her challenge is to make a difference by creating awareness and understanding for out threated oceans.  By focusing on specific species, Lesley Beth feels her message is far more emotionally and environmentally effective when the viewers see and hear the songs set to film.

Her experience as a teacher influences all her lyrics to be fun, highly catchy and not patronizing.

As a talented artist, she supports every song beautifully hand illustrated and printable song lyrics and project pages.

As a teacher, Lesley is the creative driving force behind Jazzles ELA, the first and only Integrated Arts curriculum program that meets Common Core State Standards for Kindergarten ELA.

When Lesley goes recording, she only works with top editors and musicians. With Underwater Songs, world-renowned musicians include Clive Lenditch, who's played acoustic guitar with stars like Manhattan Transfer, Peter Allen, Idina Menzel and Neil Sedaka. Additional artists include drums by Gordon Rytmeister (Tom Jones, The Commodores, Bob Geldof, Roger Frampton, Bobby Shew, Anthony Warlow and Eartha Kitt) and legendary electric bassist Mark Costa, who's performed with The Temptations, Tom Jones, Leo Sayer, Go West, Chris Isaak, Debbie Reynolds and Thelma Houston.

Lesley's video production experiences include working with Michael Stavrou, (sound engineer for Elton John, Paul McCartney, Cat Stevens, the Beatle's Sir George Martin), and digital coloring by Warren Lynch of 'Lord of the Rings' fame.

Lesley is a recipient of Honorable Mentions by American Songwriter Magazine and LyricAwards.com for her poignant environmental song 'While Watching Wales'.

From over 11,000 entries, Lesley's humorous 'Swishy Friends' song (about being a fish in a 'fish' school) was nominated a Semi-Finalist in the 2004 International Songwriting Competition. The ISC features the most prestigious panel of judges in the world of songwriting contests.
