BOOKS AND EDUTAINMENT SYNOPSIS
‘Swishy Friends’ are a group of ocean creatures who hang out together and help each other out, and whose stories embody three basic principles: mutual respect, fairness and acceptance. Respecting each others differences mostly, but sometimes having an occasional difference of opinion.
To all who live there, the area of the crater bounded by its barrier reef is called ‘Swishy Friends Park’ and within its deep blue lies the ‘Swishy Friends’ retreat.
‘Swishy Friends Park’ appears on no maps.
To get there, you travel via a chain of ‘Wreck Hotels’ that keep you safe from super trawlers that gobble up everything in their path!
Planes fly over it all the time with passengers looking down to marvel at all its various hues — from the lightest, purest azure to a turquoise so beautiful it’s hard to imagine.
Seven different blues an artist once said. Each of the lighter blues is so pure and fascinating—you just imagine floating on the surface while wondering why there are no stilt cabanas for world weary travelers to stay.
It is so mesmerizing that you just don’t notice the area of really deep blue where the sea descends from shallows to depths so deep that few venture there!
It’s Dark Park, and most remains unexplored. Only a few have tried to explore its depth and then they always go together. For this is the tough end of the Park, where no-one can be called ‘friends’.
Here’s home to strange creatures, like Collozzle, the squid with eyes as big as dinner plates and long tentacles with rows of razor hooks. Of a strange jellyfish, bigger than a cannon ball, blood red, that can appear out of the dark. Or the frightening Viper fish peering out of the bones of prehistoric fish!
